Combination Tour
Descend into BOTH Ancient Caves and Discover Anguilla's Hidden Forest!
Cavannaugh cave (pronounced Guh-van-uh) offers a walk-in experience of its huge open cavern out of which an incredibly tall fig tree grows and exits out of the top of the cave with its root system travelling almost a quarter-mile along the surface of the cave.
The combination tour offers guests the opportunity to visit both caves along the way down the Katouche Valley to Kathouche Bay.

Later on, you'll enter Cavannaugh Cave (Guh-van-uh)—a massive open cavern unlike anything else on the island. A towering fig tree bursts through the top, its roots stretching nearly a quarter-mile along the cave’s surface, creating a breathtaking natural spectacle. Inside, harmless fruit bats flutter above, adding to the cave’s mystique.
At the end of your adventure, unwind at the breathtaking Katouche Bay with our estate’s signature refreshments— the perfect way to savour the moment and soak in the beauty of Anguilla.

For the explorer at or curious nature lover willing to go a bit deeper, the Combination tour is an exhilarating and educational journey that will leave you with incredible stories to take home. Come hike, discover, and experience Anguilla’s most unique adventure!
Step off the beaten path and immerse yourself in the untouched beauty of Anguilla's only forest of its kind (Katouche Valley), Cavannaugh Cave, and Anguilla's oldest known cave, Katouche Cave! This 80-acre hidden gem is home to one of the island’s most diverse ecosystems, offering an unforgettable blend of adventure, culture, and natural wonder.
Hike through towering trees and rare foliage, learning about Anguilla’s native plants and their fascinating traditional, household, and medicinal uses. Our expert guides will bring the landscape to life, sharing stories of how Anguillians have historically utilized this rich environment.
Along the trek, you'll first enter Katouche Cave, which gently winds to a depth of approximately 180ft underground (Anguilla is only 214ft above sea level!). The length of the cave stretches for about 3/4 mile. This cave was the only place where the approximately 20,000-year-old remains of the now-extinct rodent, the “Amblyrhiza Inundata” which grew to between 300-500 lbs, were unearthed. It is now mounted at the Smithsonian, however partial remains can still be seen in the cave. You will only go deep enough to see these remains, then you will head back up to continue on the hiking trail.
